Pulp mold is a molding technology made by dissolving wood pulp, waste paper, sugarcane, etc., in water, using molds for vacuum suction molding, and drying them. Pulp mold has outstanding air permeability, insulation, and stability, and its shape and color are customizable for customer needs. Compared to plastic film-based paper cups, the pulp mold is an eco-friendly technology that can be recycled as paper without emitting environmentally harmful substances when incinerated or landfilled. Pulp mold is an alternative to styrofoam and plastic, which are strongly regulated around the world, and it already melted into lives of people in Europe.

The abandoned natural materials, including citrus extraction remnant, rice hull, beer and baekseju remnant, green tea remnant, and food by-product can be collected for free to make pulp molds. Many agricultural by-products are illegally incinerated or landfilled without disposing, and this leads to environmental destruction, such as particulate matter and forest fire. NANU collects abandoned natural materials for free and extract only the parts that can be used for pulp mold solutions. Extracts can be mixed with existing wood pulp to reduce the use of pulp mold, deliver the characteristics of natural materials, and increase bulk and water resistance. All pulp molds are made by extracting natural materials, and they are fully biodegradable.

Spraying an eco-friendly coating solution onto natural material pulp molds can enhance packaging quality. The eco-friendly coating solution spraying technique is the original patented technique by NANU, and it controls concentration and viscosity locally to express characteristics elaborately for each surface. It also created a pulp mold that goes beyond food industry containers and expands to various industrial fields, including cosmetics, electronics, and construction.

It is important to identify unexpected defects and supplements for the development of this product. Prototyping can ultimately review the quality of the product and shorten the development period, The unit price can be lowered by excluding QDM (Quick Delivery Mold) cost when mass-producing after prototype production. In addition, prototypes can be produced through government-supported projects, and it is helpful if you deliver the budget and schedule together.
